Information for Foster Families Advertisers

Unlike other parenting magazines, Foster Families is aimed directly at foster carers. This means that every reader will have a direct interest in your product. Whether a foster carer, social worker, or friend of the family, the people who see your advert will have a reason to buy your product.
Foster Families crosses the two genres of ‘parenting’ and ‘professional’ or ‘care’. As a parenting magazine it has features on family life, with ‘how-to’ and question sections, specifically aimed at parents who foster.
Every day there are over 50,000 children living in foster homes, and this statistic is not likely to go down. In fact, the number rises each year, meaning the interest in your product is likely to increase the longer you advertise with Foster Families Magazine.
Distributed quarterly, each edition of Foster Families Magazine will be frequently read over that time, giving friends and contacts a chance to read each edition before the next one comes out. It will be read by people who care deeply for looked after children, and who want to better the lives of these children in any way they can.
Foster Families Magazine targets 31-60 year old women who are foster carers. They love kids – they have been fostering for about six to ten years and may have a child or two of their own still young enough to live at home.
Family comes first in their lives and they gave up full time work to look after the kids.
